I’m Dr. Tobi Schmidt, a science education expert and cell and molecular immunologist with a Ph.D. from the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at the Stanford School of Medicine. I’ve spent over 25 years teaching, mentoring, and guiding students in biology—and I’m still as passionate about it today as I was when I first started. I offer biology tutoring and mentoring that goes far beyond test prep—I help students understand the subject deeply, think critically, and gain lasting confidence.
I’ve worked with students at all levels, from high schoolers taking AP Biology for the first time to college students preparing for research careers and medical school. Along the way, I’ve developed science programs for biotech companies to spark girls’ interest in STEM, taught for the Stanford Pre-Collegiate Program, and served on both their teaching and admissions teams.
