Who is Dr. Tobi?

Dr. Tobi Schmidt combines over 25 years of expertise in biology education and research with a Ph.D. from the Stanford School of Medicine. Her passion for teaching was ignited early on, leading her from undergraduate tutoring to significant roles in educational programs and admissions committees. She has designed and taught courses in the biological sciences for the Stanford School of Medicine, Stanford Pre-Collegiate and Continuing Studies Programs, and the California College of the Arts where she pioneered courses that brought art students and scientists together. In addition to her teaching roles, Dr. Tobi has mentored countless students toward success in top-tier universities and research careers.
Beyond her teaching, Dr. Tobi has contributed to the biological sciences through research and leadership roles in industry, academic, and non-profit sectors, demonstrating a commitment to advancing scientific knowledge and education.
